This is a key step to ensure that urban mobility rules are aligned with the EU’s digital and green ambitions, ensuring a level-playing-field by giving enough flexibility for on-demand mobility services and modernising outdated regulations such as the return-to-garage, empty rides, or burdensome requirements for drivers.

We are happy to hear that the Commission recognises the role our services can play and look forward to its guidance on how passenger on-demand services can become more sustainable and efficient. This will be crucial to be able to create a level playing field for ride-hailing, enabling access to a safe and sustainable alternative and decreasing people’s reliance on private cars.
